NOTD: China Glaze Nova

Hey everyone!
I'm still in Cape Cod for another week and so far this week has been very annoying because there's been stormy weather and no internet at the new house! I'm at an ice cream place that has wifi though so I decided to upload a picture of my nails of the day a few days ago when I went to the Provincetown pride parade, which was so much fun! I felt that this nail polish, which is pure silver glitter that reflects every color of the rainbow, was a perfect choice for a pride parade =)
I don't think it's really possible to capture this nail polish in a picture, it's SO sparkly! I did my best though, enjoy!
I'll be back home on Saturday but I don't think I'll do makeup for a few days after.

In Cape Cod for 2 weeks!

Hey everyone!
as of today, I will be in Cape Cod for 2 weeks! I have been looking forward to this vacation for so long and I'm so excited! I'm not sure what this means for blogging and makeup and stuff, but I do have some makeup with me, so we'll see! I can see some gorgeous sunset inspired looks happening =) I mean, just look at the sunset we had tonight at the beach!

Imitating a MAC desig

Hey Everyone!
Today I saw this makeup look on Johnny Weir from a MAC photoshoot and it looked like a lot of fun so I did it! It gives emotion to a blank face which I thought was a very cool effect. There were a lot of ways to photograph this, so there are a lot of pictures in this post!

What I used:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- NYX black eyeshadow
- Jordana snowy white eyeshadow
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
- 2 pairs of false lashes from Harmon
- Wet'n'wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker

Imitating a Sephora add

Hey Everyone!
So, coincidentally, after going to Harmon and getting my first dark purple lipstick (NYX Black Label lipstick in Seductive) because I love interesting lip colors, I got the new Sephora beauty report in the mail and it had a look with purple lips and eyeshadow on the cover! I went to try the lipstick out and figured, why not go ahead and try to imitate the add! So I did and here's what I came up with:

I was pretty happy with the turnout, and here is a link to the sephora page for the look I was imitating. I know the colors look really off, but that's because the lighting in my room is much different than their professional sets!

What I used:
eyes:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- Jordana eyeshadow in Ms. Jordana
- Sephora Flashy liner in Flashy Brown and flashy violet
Lips:
- NYX black label lipstick in Seductive
Face:
- Coastal Scents contour and blush palette

NOTD: China Glaze IDK

Hey Everyone!
omg, I am so in love with this color! It's a gorgeous holographic purple from the China Glaze OMG collection. It's so mesmerizing with it's ovular rainbows that flash around whenever you look at it =)

Inspired by Keane's Night Train Cover Art

Hey everyone!
Sorry I haven't been posting this past week, I guess I just slacked off =( anyway, on Friday night, I got to see Keane, which is one of my favorite bands, live at the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn. It was a great location for a summer night concert, and Keane was absolutely phenomenal! So I decided to do a makeup look inspired by the cover art on their new album, Night Train!

What I used:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- Ben Nye Cosmic Blue
- Kryolan Midnight Blue Eye Dust
- Wet-n-Wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker
- Coastal Scents 88 Palette
- Buxom Mascara

Also, here is a video of the concert I saw! Keane comes on around 3:45, after Ingrid Michaelson.
