Inspired by... a Rubber Band?

Today I was looking at this multicolored, music note shaped rubber band that I have on my wrist and I decided to do a look with the colors: yellow, pink, and blue. It's a weird thing to be inspired by, but hey just about anything can be inspiring!
What I used:

Flag Friday: The Swedish Flag!

I have decided that every Friday I will do a makeup look inspired by a different flag! I know this is a day late but I did this look yesterday - inspired by the Swedish flag - and I just never got around to doing a post about it.
What I used:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- Ben Nye Sun Yellow, from the Lumiere Palette
- A blue eyeshadow from the Beauties Factory 88 matte palette
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
- Wet'n'Wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker
- Maybelline Define a lash mascara

I think that this looked way better in real life. For some reason the shape in the photos came out weird and the blue was much more blended out...

Coastal Scents 88 Palette Swatches

Today I took on the daunting task of swatching the entire 88 shimmer palette from Coastal Scents!
The swatches are in columns, following the picture of the palette above

Columns 1-3

Columns 4-6

Columns 7-9

And finally, columns 10 and 11

This Palette is probably my favorite eyeshadow palette. It has such a variety of shimmery colors and that is just what, in my opinion, you need to see when you set out to do a makeup look! A lot of people question the quality of this palette because you can get it here for only $19.95! That is extremely cheap but trust me, I use this palette in almost every look I have posted and the quality of each color is fantastic. Yes the colors are small, but they last a very long time because of the pigmentation and because there are so many of them.
The bottom line: definitely get this palette, you will love it even if you are not a makeup fanatic!

Product Review: Ben Nye Lumiere Palette

This is Ben Nye Lumiere Palette. It's one of my favorite palettes because It has 12 perfect colors that are super pigmented and gorgeous! The color choices are very good as well; you have your highlight colors, gold and silver, and then one basic color to represent each color of the rainbow. This is the palette I used to create my rainbow eye look and I think you can see why!
Here is the full palette. The colors can be switched around, so this is not the way they are packaged, I had to rearrange them in rainbow order because, well, that's just me! Also, that is a quarter next to it, just to show size.
In terms of price, it's 60$ which can be seen as expensive but In my opinion that is a fantastic deal! Each eyeshadow is very pigmented and a good size, this will last a very long time. plus, when you divide 60 by the 12 eyeshadows you're getting, each one comes out to be 5 dollars which is really good. definitely a must have in my collection.
Top row swatches: (from left to right) Ice, Iced Gold, Aztec Gold, Silver, Amethyst, Cosmic Violet
Bottom row Swatches: Azalea, Tangerine, Sun Yellow, Chartreuse, Jade, Cosmic Blue

The bottom line: If you are an eyeshadow fanatic like me, then I would definitely recommend this palette to you!

Here is the rainbow eye look I did using nothing but these colors for the eyeshadow part:

very good blendability(is that even a word?? probably not hahaha) as you can see!

Pink and Green

I had a very sweet request to do a look with pink and lime green so here it is!

What I used:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- Coastal Scents 88 shimmer palette
- Wet'n'Wild Mega Eyes Defining marker
- NYX jumbo eye pencil in black

Silver Smokey Eye

This is a look that I did on my friend when she was over.
What I used:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- Beauties Factory 88 palette
- Wet'n'Wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker
- Smashbox Lash DNA mascara

Black and Gold Eyeliner

What I used:
- Wet'n'Wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker
- NYX liquid liner in gold

Oh and about NYX liquid liners, they're good if you're just playing around and if you just want to do a look and take a picture of it like me, but they are not good for wearing out at all. They flake off pretty soon after they dry.

Neutral Eyes

I was asked to do a look for going out, so I did a nice neutral eye which is very easy to do and looks great. For a basic neutral eye like this, the idea is to provide shadows and highlights where they need to be. So on the lid, there is a light color and in the crease there is a dark, shadowy color. Also for definition, add a thin line of black eyeliner with a small wing at the top lash line. Another thing you should do, which I for some reason didn't here, is have black eyeliner on the bottom waterline or on the lower lash line.
What I used:
- NYX eyeshadow base
- Coastal Scents 88 shimmer palette
- Wet'n'Wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker

Blue and Purple Hydrangeas

This look was inspired by the pastel blue and purple hydrangeas that were blooming in my yard.

Rainbow Eyes

This look is basically a gradient of all the colors of the rainbow from red to purple.

- NYX eyeshadow base
- Ben Nye Lumiere Palette, it has all of the colors necessary for this
- False Lashes from Harmon
- Wet'n'wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker
