Having Fun with Lip Colors!

Hey everyone!

Soo, here's the lip stuff that I was doing yesterday! I kind of discovered a new love for lip design and color, I think it makes a nice, bold statement and photographs really well. Also, I think a lot of people regard black lipstick as gothic or depressing, but I definitely disagree. Of course it's a statement making color, but I wish that statement wasn't seen as a negative or rebellious one because black lipstick looks so cool! I'm not saying in any way that everyone sees it that way, but I know that some people do.
Anyway, enough with my rant about black lipstick and onto the pictures! ok for the first few, I had on black over metallic blue, which made a really cool shade that wasn't quite black or matte and had some blue undertones in it. The first c
ouple of pictures I thought looked most editorial.
Here's one with the rainbow wing makeup I had on (obviously that got smudged a bit)

Blue!
Blue heart
silver!

MAC funtabulous dazzleglass over matte black lipstick (sorry about the feathering on this one, eek!)

Hope you like them!

NOTD: China Glaze Adore

Hey everyone!
So here are my nails of the day, China Glaze Adore, which is a GORGEOUS chrome blue. The Picture captures the color very well, although it might be a tad more silvery depending on the lighting.
In a little bit I'll be posting a bunch of pictures of awesome lips that I did yesterday

Rainbow Wings

Hey Everyone!
So I did this look today and I'm very happy with how it turned out! It's just a nice red wing and little bits of colored eyeliner on the bottom lash line in rainbow order, and of course some rhinestones! =)

Here are some more pictures of how this looked without the rhinestones and black eyeliner on the waterline.

What I used:
- Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe powder in Cherry Red, applied wet with an eyeliner brush
- Ben Nye eyeshadows from the Lumiere Palette in Tangerine, Sun Yellow, Chartreuse, Jade, Cosmic Blue, and Amethyst
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
- Buxom Mascara
- Rhinestones

Double NOTD: NYC Luxury Lime Creme and Rimmel Green with Envy

Hey Everyone!
Here are my Nails of the Day from yesterday and today! Yesterday's was NYC Luxury Lime Creme, which is a very sheer, pale lime green with a bit of blue shimmer.
Today's is Rimmel Green with Envy, which is a nice teal that leans to the green side, obviously the picture doesn't show that too well! I LOVE the formula of Rimmel colors it's very easy to apply (the brush helps) and it's opaque in 2 coats. This is also a great pedicure color.
OK, I'm off to do a really cool rainbowy makeup look that I will post as soon as possible =)

Again, if you have any suggestions or requests, I will be happy to do them!!

Product Review: Sephora Flashy Eyeliners

Hey everyone!
These are some of my favorite eyeliners, Sephora flashy liners! They're very pigmented and stay on for a long time. Each time a new color comes out I always make sure to get it. From left to right:
Deep Black: good matte black
Flashy Black: shimmery black
Flashy Ultra Violet: medium purple with blue shimmer
Flashy Mauve: Very light pink with a blue tint
Flashy Blue: Bright turquoise
Flashy Green: nice velvety green, almost teal
Flashy Ultra Green: grass green, nice and bright
Flashy Brown: very pretty copper
Flashy Copper: (not copper colored) metallic gold
Flashy Silver: (not silver) white shimmer. I use it as a base for using eyeshadow as eyeliner

You can get these at Sephora for 8$

NOTD: Mattese NYC Neon Flame

Hey Everyone!
Here are my nails of the day, Mattese Neon Flame. The picture isnt very accurate because it depicts it as an orange red, but its really a very reddish hot pink/ magenta, even with some coral tones in it.

Inspired by a Cow's Tapetum

Hey everyone!
So after reading the title of this blog post, you're probably a little freaked out! While I was at camp, I dissected a cow's eye and got inspired by the Tapetum, which is an iridescent colorful layer at the back of the eye. I wanted to keep this look simple, just a nice gradient of color, and more wearable than some of my other looks recently hahaha =)

What I used:
- NYX Eyeshadow base
- Coastal Scents 88 shimmer palette
- Wet'n'wild Mega Eyes Defining Marker
- Buxom Mascara
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

NOTD: China Glaze Admire

Hey everyone!
this is the first of my nails of the day posts: China Glaze Admire
It's a really pretty pale chrome pink that's very reflective and changes tone somewhat in different light; its more gold inside, but outside it becomes much more metallic and silvery.

Product Review: L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara

Hey everyone!
So what I want to do, in terms of a blog schedule of sorts, is have a makeup look and a product review/nail post, each every other day.
Today's product review is on L'oreal's Telescopic Explosion Mascara, which came out a while ago. It is a lot like Givenchy's Phenomen'eyes Mascara in that it has the same sort of brush idea: a mascara brush shaped like a ball. However, it does have a much longer wand than Phenomen'eyes, which might make it easier or harder to use, depending on your preference. I can't compare it formula-wise to phenomen'eyes because I don't have/ have never used phenomen'eyes. The formula for this has never been a problem for me (a lot of people say that it's too wet or goopy) but I don't find that it does anything incredible to my lashes.. I do suppose it adds some length, but I've seen many better mascaras. The one thing I like a lot is the ball applicator, I find it makes putting on mascara very easy and makes it possible to get all of your lashes precisely where you want them to go.

Hey Everyone!
So I got a request to do the makeup look from the music video for Islands of Light by Indica. It's a very defined teal/grey look with a cool wing shape, and false lashes with some red rhinestones and black eyeliner.

- Ben Nye Peacock Lumiere Luxe Powder in Peacock
- Ben Nye Liquiset
- Ardell Lashes #139
- NYX Felt Tip Liner
- red rhinestones
- NYX black eyeshadow
- NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in black bean

Just so you know, I'm always open to suggestions! whatever look you want me to do I will =)
Coming up: I'd like to do a video post on how to do yin yang nails, and just general tools for doing nails, A post on makeup organization, a video about how to do water marbling on nails, and many more makeup/ nail looks! Now that I'm home from camp I plan to do a lot more blog posts than I have been doing =) I was thinking of doing a series of makeup looks inspired by different skies from different parts of the day, how does that sound?

Just Checking in and Posting a Nail Design from a While Ago!

Hey everyone!
I see I've gained a few more followers in the past few weeks, which I am really happy about! However, I have no new updates for you recently. Don't worry, I haven't just stopped, I'm at camp and have been for 3 weeks. I am coming home on saturday and my regular makeup schedule will resume. I'll post a daily nail design until then from my collection of nail designs that have been accumulating for a while now with no place to be shared!

This one I did for a school concert, and as you can see, its music notes on a staff! I know It's quite a bit messy, but that's because I was in a rush to finish them to get to the concert on time.
Enjoy!
