Maybelline Monday: Give me Gold eyeshadow quad

Hey Everyone!

This is the first of a series I'll do every monday. Maybelline recently sent me lots of their products and I'm looking forward to trying them all out, so this will be my way of sharing when I do =) Don't worry I'll also be posting my usual makeup looks as often as I can, which, unfortunately, is not very often because I'm in my junior year and loaded with homework. =(

Anyway, here's the Give me Gold eyeshadow quad:

And here's the look I did:

What I used:

- NYX eyeshadow base

- Maybelline Give me Gold quad

- Maybelline Define-a-Line eyeliner

- Maybelline Gel Liner in brown

- Maybelline XXL Extensions Mascara

What I did:

1 - Put eyeshadow base all over the lid and blend it out above

2 - From the Maybelline quad, apply the light yellow color to the lid, and the gold color in the crease. Use the dark brown in the outer corner and near the upper and lower lashline, blend slightly.

3 - Apply the brown Maybelline gel liner to the upper and lower lashline, creating a small wing at the edge of the eye.

4 - Use the white eyeshadow to highlight your brow and inner corner

5 - Apply Define-a-Line black eyeliner to the waterline, and XXL Extensions Mascara to the lashes

BIG Fashion Week Post

A Green eyeliner look I did a little while ago

Hey Everyone!

I'm back! So this is a look that I did about a week ago actually, but i just never got around to posting it because I've been busy with starting school and with Fashion Week, which was, by the way AMAZING! I'll have to do a post on all of the shows I saw soon... pictures of backstage and stuff included! so crazy!

anyway, this is a sort of dark green eyeliner gradient that fades into lime green as you get further away from the eye. I was inspired to do this when I noticed an old eyeshadow duo from too faced that's been sitting around for a while now called lucky charms. It's basically a really pretty dark and light green. When I saw the end result of this look, it reminded me of a vein in a leaf that's dark green and fades into the light green color that the leaf is.

What I used:

- NYX eyeshadow base

- Too Faced eyeshadow duo in Lucky Charms

- Maybelline Define-a-Lash mascara

- NYX jumbo eye pencil in black bean

- Wet'n'wild black liquid liner

ALSO: Im making a new, separate blog for nail polish because I want this one to be only for makeup! the new blog will be called the nailtress and it will be up soon! I paint my nails once a day, so expect a new color every day!

Fashion Week!

Hey Everyone!

I'm really sorry I haven't posted any makeup looks in ages, but that's about to change! I drew a bunch of looks today that I was inspired to do by various things. I also have some very exciting news! Maybelline saw my blog and really liked it, so they have invited me to 6 fashion week shows to get inspired by everything I see there and come up with some looks. I get to go backstage before the shows as well and see how everything happens. Tomorrow I'm seeing BCBG Max Azria and Michael Angel and I am SO excited!!

I also got to go to a photoshoot a few days ago for their calendar, which was really fun with lots of awesome makeup and really amazing sets and everyone there was so welcoming and nice! I look forward to seeing them tomorrow =)
